JGNG is pleased to announce that this year’s recipient of the Word Sender Award is Wayne State College. The Word Sender Award honors a person or organization that spreads the word about Neihardt’s works and themes he wrote about: the frontier, Native Americans, and mountain men. “Word Sender” is how Black Elk described Neihardt, an author who he knew would send his story, accurately, to the wider public.

Tickets get you admission, two free drink tickets, participation in silent and live auctions, the Word Sender presentation, and a hearty, delicious German meal in honor of John Neihardt.
